At St. Peter's, you will find a diverse parish filled with people from all walks of life — gay, straight, married, partnered, single, families, young, and not-so-young.
Come in and you'll experience transformative worship rooted in ancient liturgy, friendly people who reflect the values and demographics of Lakeview, and good coffee.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey — doubting, full-of-faith, or in between — you belong at St. Peter's.
This Sunday, September 28, St. Peter's will celebrate the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels -- or Michelmas -- at 8 and 11 A.M.
Come celebrate St. Michael, all the angels, and the all-embracing love of God in Christ.
Everlasting God, you have ordained and constituted in a wonderful order the ministries of angels and mortals: Mercifully grating that, as your holy angels always serve and worship you in heaven, so by your appointment they may help and defend us here on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Rooted in the patterns of the early church, the Dinner Eucharist is a gathering where participants share a common meal and in the sacred meal--the Holy Eucharist. Paticipants eat a simple meal together, explore Scripture and discuss its meaning, offer prayers, and sing.
The Dinner Eucharist meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month in the Guild Room, and lasts approximately one hour. The service and music is informal, yet set within the pattern of the ancient liturgy of the church and the Book of Common Prayer. This service will serve especially those who work on Sunday mornings, have been out of town over the weekend, those unfamiliar with Christianity, or those who have been out of the church for some time.
