Welcome to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
At St. Peter's, you will find a diverse parish filled with people from all walks of life — gay, straight, married, partnered, single, families, young, and not-so-young.
Come in and you'll experience transformative worship rooted in ancient liturgy, friendly people who reflect the values and demographics of Lakeview, and good coffee.
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey — doubting, full-of-faith, or in between — you belong at St. Peter's.
Come to St. Peter's on Sunday, November 2 as the church celebrates All Saints' Sunday. Bring framed photos of your beloved dead to place on on the high altar during the Holy Eucharist. Prayers will be offered as we give thanks to God for the love of family and friends.
Come to St. Peter's on Wednesday, November 5, at 7:00 P.M. for The Commemoration of All The Faithful Departed, also known as All Souls' Day. During this service the names of the faithful departed will be read aloud and candles lit. The 2014 Perpetual Memorial Report will be made available at this service.
If you would like to have the names of your departed loved ones added to the list, please contact Fr. Steve at firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Peter's 2014 - 2015 Music & Arts Series continues on Saturday, November 8 at 7:30 P.M., with the Allegrezza Singers performing HOLD ON! Works of inspiration, hope, encouragement, & light.
The Music & Arts Series is the only series of its kind in Lakeview, providing frequent free-will offering concerts, choral festivals, world-premiere works, visual art galleries, lectures, and book readings to the community throughout the year.
