EmailNorma S. Sutton was raised on a farm in southwestern Michigan where her family attended the local Baptist church. She did her undergraduate work at Goshen College where she was delighted to discover Christian pacifists. She was ordained in the Mennonite Church in 1984.
Norma came to Chicago in 1979 to work as a faculty member and theological librarian at North Park Theological Seminary, where she teaches in the spiritual formation program. Episcopalians were among her new friends in Chicago and over time the liturgy of the Episcopal Church, especially the Eucharist, became central to her spirituality.
She came to St. Peter’s over 15 years ago and was ordained a priest in 2005.
