New Sunday Evening Dinner Eucharist

Rooted in the patterns of the early church, the Dinner Eucharist is a gathering where participants share a common meal and in the sacred meal--the Holy Eucharist. Paticipants eat a simple meal together, explore Scripture and discuss its meaning, offer prayers, and sing.

The Dinner Eucharist meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month in the Guild Room, and lasts approximately one hour. The service and music is informal, yet set within the pattern of the ancient liturgy of the church and the Book of Common Prayer. This service will serve especially those who work on Sunday mornings, have been out of town over the weekend, those unfamiliar with Christianity, or those who have been out of the church for some time.

What Is God Calling Me To Do?

What does God want you to do? Who is God calling you to be? Spiritual discernment is the process of listening for and responding to God’s voice as you make decisions throughout your life. It is the essential link between prayer and action. Relationships, career choices, vocations, priorities and goals are just some of the subjects that call for discernment.

Led by the Rev. Patricia Moser, this interactive workshop will explore time-honored ways to open your heart to hear God’s voice and connect the invitations you hear and the gifts you possess with God’s mission in the world. Workshop is September 20, 2104 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Pre-registration is appreciated. Contact deaconpatt@stpeterschicago.org.
