John Addison Dally is a playwright and choral composer. As artist in residence at St. Peter’s, he creates original works for specific occasions in the life of the parish and revives existing works for performance as appropriate. Committed to “art on behalf of the world,” he tries to link every performance to building a relationship with a specific agency or organization in the Chicago area. As artist in residence he also serves as a liaison between the talented community of St. Peter’s and the talented city of Chicago, striving for collaborations that enrich all participants. He has a particular interest in working with people who may not consider themselves artists and drawing forth their gifts for writing and performing at a professional level of competence.
