Current Study

The 2010 program focuses on the New Testament Epistles, starting with the 7 Epistles for which Paul’s authorship is undisputed.  We will cover 1 epistle each week, reading the letters in the order in which a consensus of modern scholars believes they were written:  Galatians (January 13), 1 Thessalonians (January 20), 1 Corinthians (January 27), 2 Corinthians (February 3), Romans (February 10), Philippians (February 24), and Philemon (March 3).

Our program continues with the seven "Pauline" epistles for which authorship has been disputed, beginning with the pastoral epistles: 1 Timothy (March 10), 2 Timothy (March 17), and Titus (March 24), and continuing with 2 Thessalonians (April 7),  Ephesians (April 14), Colossians (April 21), and Hebrews (April 28).

We conclude before the summer recess with the non-Pauline epistles: 1 Peter (May 12), 2 Peter (May 19), 1 John (May 26), 2 and 3 John (June 2), Jude (June 9), and James (June 16).
